Welcome to The Prague Gem & Mineral Show fair website. This international show will focus on direct, on-spot sale of minerals, gemstones, semi-precious stones, pearls and jewelry is one of the biggest events of its kind in the Czech Republic. The fair runs concurrently (and at the same venue) as The Sberatel/Collector fair, the biggest gathering of numismatic and philatelist collectors in Central and Eastern Europe, and also with the 2nd fair of investment opportunities into gold and coins, The Investor.
Every year, over 12 000 visitors enter its gates and last year there were over 260 exhibitors from 35 countries worldwide to present and sell there - 20 % more compared to the previous year. Over ¼ of the exhibitors is represented by traders and sellers of minerals, gemstones and jewels – and beginning this year, all of them will be presented under a label of a whole new fair – The Prague Gem & Mineral Show. This separate fair will run concurrently with The Sberatel/Collector using the same venue.
Why did we decide to separate the minerals and gemstones and label them as it´s own fair? Becase we want to bring more customers to our exhibitors! In order to attract women (to whom the collecting of traditional commodities is not an allurement strong enough to make them to attend The Sberatel/Collector Fair) we will carry out a specifically focused advertising campaign promoting The Prague Gem & Mineral Show while aiming it directly at women – this important target audience needs to be addressed through different channels and by different means than the usual target audience of The Sberatel/Collector.
Plus – there is an ultimate one-of-a-kind opportunity to bring more women in, to familiarize with The Sberatel/Collector and to show them it has a lot to offer even to those who are not exactly into philately or numismatics: this year the 14th year of the biggest Czech Fair of cosmetics, hairstyling and spa products World of Beauty & Spa fair will be held concurrently with The Sberatel/Collector at the same expo venue. Therefore a significantly higher female attendance is expected for 2012 and all of them will have their entrance to The Sberatel/Collector, The Investor and The Prague Gem & Mineral Show free of charge.
